‘Capturing those special moments that pass in the blink of an eye’

Newborn shoots are ideally done when your little one is between day 7 and day 28.  Those first couple of weeks are life changing and easily forgotten with all the hormone changes, and adapting to life with a baby.  Having a newborn shoot is a chance to sit back, relax and take in every aspect of your  special delivery.

This is the time that they are still ‘newborn’ with their ‘squishy’, curled up, adorable sleepy poses.

Newborns have been curled up in a very small space for 9 months, and they still take on that curled up position for the first couple of weeks after being born. By day 14 they are much more stretched out and much more alert.

During the shoot.

The shoot will generally take approximately 2 – 3 hours.

This will include time for feeding, changing and settling your baby.

The shoot will be very relaxed with time to chat, discuss your preferences and ensure that you and your baby are always comfortable and happy throughout. I will shoot your baby in a variety of relaxed positions, using different backgrounds, and also give you the chance to have some special family photos that will be forever cherished.

You do not need to bring anything with you, however if there is anything in particular you would like incorporated in the photos then please bring these items along.  If your baby has a dummy or anything that soothes them, please also bring this with you.

Your baby will be held and moved with every bit of care and confidence as if it were my own.  I know how precious these bundles are, I have had many years of practice with hundreds of newborns.  Your baby will always be kept safe, secure and warm.

The studio is always kept warm to ensure that your newborn does not get cold, so don’t layer up too much or you and your baby will get very hot and sweaty.
